Our Story

We are A. Bruce Benson (1991) Limited, also known as Benson Pools. We have been building and servicing swimming pools and hot tubs for more than half a century!

Our History

In 1953 the business was started up as a custom homebuilder but quickly added the construction of in-ground swimming pools for many clients; both residential and commercial. Our reputation as a high-quality pool builder is without equal in Eastern Ontario.

Since those early days, there have been many changes in products, materials, technology and regulation, but our commitment to doing excellent work for our customers has remained the same. Our focus has been to be the first and best choice for our clients.

Backyard patio and pool

Our long-time, experienced, staff have generations of pool building, service and renovation under their belts. While the everyday work is interesting and rewarding, we do like to challenge ourselves with the out-of the-ordinary job and if you have a particular design in mind we will do our best to make that a reality! When we look back over the decades, it is hard even for us to realize how much the times have changed – the back yard is no longer just a pool with a BBQ beside it. Today we are involved with awesome water features, custom hot tubs and wonderful landscapes – creating true home resorts.

For both residential and commercial clients, we offer pool consultation and construction service. In addition to new builds, we are ready to assist with you in planning any and all renovations to older swimming pool, piping, mechanical and finish items (pool tiles, plaster, replacing a filter or vinyl liner etc.).
